Weston Texas is small, it could possibly be the smallest town you have ever encountered. The main drag in Weston consists of Weston Road in the shape of an 'L' running into Hwy 455. Its just a small stretch of road with some very old buildings along it. Perhaps one day, downtown Weston will be developed and grow. Today, its home to a Sis's general store and the old school mercantile.

The limited number of neighborhoods in Weston is a reflection of the limited number of existing homes. As time passes, we are starting to see neighborhoods like Venetian get developed. Sadly its only a matter of time before the land in and around Weston will be converted to neighborhoods. Its just progress, but many of us will miss the green cattle fields and farms we have grown to love.

Named after the Weston was named by Larkin Adamson (1806-1872) after his hometown of Weston, Missouri. Adamson, who settled here in 1850, built Weston's first store and was named its first postmaster January 16, 1854. Adamson lead the charge that helped create the explosive growth that was well documented in the local historical texts.

Today Weston is still a very small town, but is now surrounded by powerhouse towns like Anna, McKinney and Celina.
