Do you know that it takes over 10,000 hours of doing something to consider yourself an expert at it? We have built an estimated 50 Highland Homes by our team here at LivingWell Realty. Heck to the YES! Highland Homes builds a solid home based on time tested construction techniques. This results in a solid and comfortable home.

Do Highland Homes increase in value?
Wow, this is a tough question to answer as a real estate broker. We are trained to never guarantee an increase in your homes value due to a changing market. I will say, that Highland builds in some of the most in demand cities and neighborhoods. They build an amazing home and they are of a timeless design. I will also say, when we sell the homes we helped to build they typically sell for much more than when we built them. So you might have a different experience, but draw your own conclusion.

What is your favorite thing about Highland Homes?
They do not put profits over doing the right thing. I still remember hearing the head of sales for Highland Homes saying that "earnest money is not a profit center for us". Most builders do not give back your earnest money. Period! Thats just one example of how Highland is different.

How long will it take to build my Highland Home?
That is an unknown, but estimate 6-9 months in the 2023 market.

Can we do build to suit home in 2023?
You bet! Post COVID, we can now build homes to suite your needs and desires.

Should I wait for new home prices to come down?
We are seeing home prices trickle down, but they will not crash. I would focus on the home loan interest rates more than home prices.

Will we see price increases on Highland Homes in 2023?
Probably not or very little, we will see modest price decreases due to the cooling market.

We have built many Highland Homes for our clients and have experienced first hand how they take care of their clients regardless of the cost. They truly are a class act and you will have a great experience building with them.

Pros of Building an Highland Home

  1. Sales Experience - always and I mean always a great experience. Highland has the best sales team in the business.

  2. Building Experience - very rarely do we experience a construction problem, but when we do Highland is usually aware of it and is proactively fixing the issue.

  3. Home Quality - they build a very good quality home, we actually build our home in Prosper Tx with them.

  4. Warranty Experience - pretty good, not amazing, but good. Quite frankly I have yet to encounter a builder that has a great warranty department.

  5. Client Experience - A+, is there an A++? If so, they would get it...

Cons of Building an Highland Home

  1. Title Company - their preferred title company is not the best, always request your preferred title company is used. You will thank me later.
  2. Repairs - every builder fails in this area. Highland is actually pretty good and is very friendly, but it can take a long time to get them out there.
